Alan

Alan was one of the founding members of Eat Drink Bike, joining us on countless adventures since 1993. His passion for both sailing and cycling made him a natural fit for our group. With an uncanny ability to read maps and plan routes, Alan guided us through many unforgettable journeys. His famous motto, "It is a cycling holiday after all," became a rallying cry for the group whenever faced with a challenging ride. Alan passed away in 2015 and he is dearly missed in every cycling activity.

Chris

Chris was a very strong cyclist who joined the group in tandem with his wife, Mary. His passion for food, travel, and life's finer things extended beyond the saddle, making him a welcomed addition to any group ride or post-ride gathering.

Christian

Christian joined the Eat Drink Bike crew in 2010, thanks to Alan Davidson. He's a cycling enthusiast who's always happy to lend a hand with tech troubles during coffee stops. Loves dogs and cycling in Europe, he's also the webmaster of the site.

David

David is a cycling enthusiast who believes in living life in motion, pedaling his way everywhere he goes. Assist with the site editing, he documents all of the rides by using Strava and taking LOTS of photos!

Dennis

Dennis is a cyclist by circumstance and social butterfly by nature. While he claims to manage his relationship through the medium of two wheels, his true passion lies in the camaraderie of the open road. Hills? They're a mere inconvenience in his carefully curated cycling narrative.

Donna

Donna, the intrepid pioneer who ignited the cycling flame, is as comfortable on a mountain pass as she is in the kitchen. A founding member of the group, her infectious enthusiasm for two-wheeled adventures has inspired countless riders to explore the world. When not conquering new terrains, she delights in sharing engaging TV shows and engaging in stimulating conversations over coffee.

Geoffrey

Geoffrey, a relative newcomer to the cycling scene, has quickly become an integral part of the group. His passion for discovering new flavors and destinations has added a fresh perspective to their adventures. While his trusty steed has served him faithfully, Geoffrey is on the cusp of an exciting upgrade, promising even more miles of exploration and culinary delights.

Helen

Helen is one of the group's founding members, sharing countless adventures with Donna before GPS and Airbnb made travel a breeze. Her easygoing nature makes her a cherished companion on Sunday rides. A seasoned cyclist with a knack for finding joy in every journey!

Jeff

Jeff, a co-founder of the group alongside Alan, is a seasoned cyclist with a linguistic flair. His fluent French has been an invaluable asset during our French escapades. A formidable climber with an insatiable appetite for wine, food, and literature, Jeff is the epitome of a well-rounded cyclist. His love for the open road is matched only by his passion for intellectual pursuits.

Mary

Mary, a vibrant and adventurous spirit, joined the group shortly after her husband Chris. Her infectious laughter and unwavering support have made her an invaluable addition to their global cycling expeditions. Always willing to lend a hand or share a lighthearted moment, Mary embodies the spirit of camaraderie that defines the group.

Michael

Michael is a cyclist with an undeniable appreciation for life's finer things. With a keen palate for wine and a love for culinary delights, he's found his perfect pairing in cycling through France.

Mike

Hailing from the vast expanse of Western Australia, Michael Adams is a seasoned cyclist with an insatiable wanderlust. Despite the geographic distance, he's a familiar face on our international cycling adventures. When the ride is over, you’ll likely find him sharing tales of the open road with his longtime friend, Milton.

Milton

A cycling enthusiast with a knack for planning epic adventures, Milton is the driving force behind the group’s next big ride. His passion for the sport is matched only by his dedication to ensuring everyone stays dry. Thanks to his background as a meteorologist, he's the team's go-to weather expert, saving the group from countless downpours.

Peter

A relatively new addition to the cycling crew, Peter brings a unique blend of passion for the open road and a particular penchant for perfectly brewed tea.
